An altercation between Undertaker and Brock Lesnar

Just 4 years before the end of The Undertaker‘s legendary Wrestlemania winning streak, broken by Brock Lesnar himself, in 2010, there was a brief altercation between ‘The Phenom’ and ‘The Beast’. This happened after the fight between Brock Lesnar and Cain Valesquez for the UFC heavyweight championship which ‘The Beast’ lost eventually. After the fight ‘The Phenom’ passed a comment, more likely a challenge while Brock Lesnar was walking past him. This eventually led up to their famous Wrestlemania 30 match.

Cain Valesquez confronted Brock Lesnar inside a WWE ring

Back in 2010 when Brock Lesnar lost his UFC heavyweight championship against Cain Valesquez, this was the first time they were coming face to face against each other. It was on a Smackdown episode when he came out as an aid to Rey Mysterio who was having an ongoing storyline with Brock Lesnar. When Valesquez made his debut in WWE, it shocked so many fans and critics even left Brock Lesnar astonished in the middle of the ring. Later they had a fight in Crown Jewels PPV which has negative feedback from the critics.

Daniel Cormier to serve as a referee in the match between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle

Daniel Cormier will serve as Special Guest Referee in Rollins vs. Riddle
Daniel Cormier set for a major role at WWE Extreme Rules

The most recent addition to the WWE X UFC crossover is Daniel Cormier, set to serve as a referee in the match between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle.

The match will not be a traditional wrestling match and the ring design will be a bit unfamiliar. The ring will be surrounded by cages and there won’t be any ropes to rebound. The match stipulation is called ‘Fight Pit’ and it will be something like a ‘Steel-Cage’ match with a hint of MMA into it. This is not the first time that WWE is holding a ‘Fight Pit’ Match. WWE has already done a Fight Pit match back in 2020 which featured Matt riddle and his long-time tag team partner Timothy Thatcher.

Getting Cormier as a referee in WWE will do a favor to their ratings and demography as Cormier alone is a huge draw, whether as a fighter or as a referee.
