“There goes my rematch” – Adrian Yanez hilariously reacts to Tony Kelley being cut off from the UFC roster
Adrian Yanez reacts to Tony Kelley being released from UFC
Tony Kelley clearly had no intentions of making friends in his time in the UFC. Adrian Yanez who recently fought Tony had no pity for his rival getting released from the UFC roster, instead, he had some jokes to crack.
Tony Kelley and Adrian Yanez faced each other at UFC Austin, last month and things got heated between the two of them. Yanez is not one to be known for trash-talking but Kelley gave his all to talk ill about his opponent and bashed him in the lead-up to the fight. Yanez, however, had the last laugh after he knocked Kelley out in the very first round.
Despite losing the fight, Tony did not stop talking smack to the rising bantamweight on social media. Earlier today UFC released Tony after his loss against Yanez. Tony has a record of 8-3 in his professional career and is 2-2 in his UFC career. After the news of Tony being cut from the roster surfaced, rival Adrian had some words to say on Twitter.
Adrian Yanez shows a moment of remorse for his joke but not for long…
“There goes my rematch…” wrote Yanez in his initial reaction tweet to Tony being cut off from the roster. After getting a lot of reactions from the fans, the fighter wanted to mention that he was only kidding and wished his rival good luck in his future.
“Okay, I’m done. I found it funny. Lol. But on a serious note, hope he gets signed to a promotion, gets paid well, and has income coming in besides fighting. I might not like you, but Tony hope you’re good,” wrote Yanez in his tweet. But it was only for less than 20 minutes Yanez didn’t dislike his rival. “Nevermind, guy is on Instagram talking sh*t lol,” wrote Yanez in his next tweet.
Tony also took the headlines when he was cornering fighter Andrea Lee in a fight against Viviane Araujo. During the fight, Tony was seen yelling, “That’s what they’re gonna do. They’re dirty f**king Brazilians. They’re going to f**king cheat like that.” This incident truly made Tony one of the most disliked UFC fighters.
