Dustin Poirier and Benoit Saint-Denis were to clash heads in the co-main event of UFC 299. However, ‘The Diamond’ recently took to X and claimed the fight was off. This shocked the entire MMA community since they were thrilled for the fight to go down. Now, in a turn of events, Poirier stated it was a misunderstanding on his part and confirmed the fight was on as scheduled.

In his latest tweet, Dustin Poirier revealed he couldn’t contact his manager for a few days, which resulted in him not getting any confirmation about the fight. Further, he apologized for the confusion he caused and affirmed the fight with Benoit Saint-Denis was going down as scheduled. Here is what he said:

Sorry folks, I jumped the gun, I couldn't get a hold of my manager for a few days. I just spoke with him and Hunter. Misunderstanding on my part. Fight is on! See you March 9th Miami!!!
