At 30-9-0 and with a 16-3 TKO stat, veteran Michael Bisping has always been a prominent name within the promotion. ‘The Count’ had bagged three straight bouts in his favor before running into Dan Henderson. Specifically, the highlight overhand right strike of Henderson, that knocked him down at UFC 100. The knockout had earned UFC’s ‘KO of the week‘. But what has taken netizens by storm is Joe Rogan‘s apt commentary on it, in a resurfaced video on X.

The color commentator hosts The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, delving into a plethora of topics with other MMA personalities. But his ringside commentary is one of his more prominent stints. So much so that co-commentator Jon Anik once advocated that Rogan enter the UFC Hall of Fame, or an independent HOF for his commentary skills. This was the UFC’s lead play-by-play commentator prediction for the 2024 HOF, along with the likes of Jim Miller and others.

One can only hope this prediction to come true. Because the fanbase always remains in awe of Rogan’s progressive commentary. The third match on the main card was between top middleweight contenders Dan Henderson and Bisping. Aligning true to Rogan’s live commentary, the latter caught a big right hand.

Michael Bisping is a member of the UFC Hall of Fame. He is an ex-UFC Middleweight Champion and Season 3 winner of “The Ultimate Fighter” (TUF) famed reality series.

Concurrently, though, he happens to be also at the wrong end of one of the most brutal knockouts in UFC history.

Michael Bisping met Dan Henderson at the 3rd matchup on the UFC 100 lineup. Joe Rogan was the play-by-play commentator at the time, who predicted his knockout. With a strong southpaw, Henderson kept intentionally veering the rival towards his stronger right side, which Rogan noted. Then came the fateful knockdown.

Moments after the KO, Rogan touched roots on it with his co-commentators, saying – “And we just said it“; fans have called such rimming confidence a class act.

Moreover, a handful have wished him back as an active commentator. Rogan was snubbed as Dominick Cruz returned to PPV in place, for the UFC 297 commentary team. Jon Anik served as the leading man on the mic from the cage side. With former two-division champion Daniel Cormier and former UFC/WEC bantamweight champ Cruz.

Fans are hopeful that Rogan will return in the future soon.
