Jamahal Hill will fight Alex Pereira at UFC 300. Hill recently addressed a burning issue regarding recovering from an injury ahead of the fight. Here is what happened:
Jamahal Hill recently uploaded a video on his YouTube channel. There, he addressed the issue of his Achilles injury. Hill said:
No, I’m not rushing back. I’ve been training, I’ve been sparring, I’ve been at a full go now for a few weeks now. There’s been no setbacks. Nothing hindering anything. When I’m saying full go, I mean this is me doing everything full speed, full on like I would when I normally train. So, there’s no concerns. My Achilles is not an issue. It’s not a problem at all.Jamahal Hill via his YouTube channel

Jamahal Hill has confirmed that his Achilles injury is fully healed ahead of UFC 300. Hill tore his Achilles tendon last year back in July. The Achilles tendon is a thick cord at the back of the ankle that connects the calf muscle to the heel. The injury forced him to vacate the title. He has not competed since last year after winning the belt at UFC 283.
Jamahal Hill is scheduled to fight Alex Pereira at UFC 300 in the main event. Despite initial criticism of the matchup, Hill has remained confident and stated that he is ready for the fight. Hill downplayed criticism and is focusing on the fight ahead. Alex Pereira also signed a new contract. He stated that the original agreement was for UFC 301 in Brazil. However, the fight got bumped up to UFC 300 before signing.
