Champion Alex Periera and former Israel Adesanya will fight for a fourth time at UFC 287. Previously, they had two kickboxing matches and one MMA match, all of which Pereira won. They are in the final stages of preparation heading into the fight, with Pereira looking to cut his weight to reach his mark on the weigh-in day. In the second episode of the Vlog for UFC 287, Pereira admitted to an inconvenient truth about himself.

Pereira said, “I do like training, I do like fighting, but this trash talk part, I have a hard time doing it. I don’t like doing it. My thing is to train and do what you just saw. That’s what I love and what I know how to do. I do it very well. Now, talking, … I am not too good at it. Call me out! Even I am scared to fight myself.”

Alex Pereira is so committed to the fight game and training that he does not like trash-talking. He even went on to hilariously admit that at his best, even he is scared to fight himself. Pereira is undefeated in the UFC and will look to be 5-0 in the UFC with a victory over Adesanya. He is training with legends Glover Texeira and Chuck Liddell for his upcoming title fight at UFC 287.

Israel Adesanya has never defeated Pereira in combat sports. Last year at UFC 281, Pereira got a stoppage victory over Adesanya again. In the eyes of fans and experts, Adesanya was winning the fight but could not get the job done as Pereira got a TKO stoppage in the last round.

Glover Texeira pranks Alex Pereira with a spider filter

Alex Pereira will fight Israel Adesanya at UFC 287, and the bout will be the second time both fighters will face each other in MMA. Previously, they had two kickboxing bouts where Pereira came out on top, and the result did not change during their MMA bout as well.

However, Pereira’s training partner and friend Glover Texeira recently pranked the scary Brazilian fighter with a spider filter. The former Light Heavyweight Champion appeared to go live, and Pereira joined him. However, he did not know that Glover would use the spider filter. Immediately, Pereria tried to take the spider from his face but realised it was not real. It is such a wholesome moment between the Glover and Pereira.

Alex Pereira will look to put the rivalry to an end against Israel Adesanya at UFC 287. After losing multiple times, Adesanya will finally come as motivated as ever to defeat the Brazilian champion. Pereira has indicated a desire to move to a different weight class, so a win would also enable him to challenge the Light Heavyweight Champion in a Champion vs Champion bout.
