UFC featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovski had some serious words to say about Ilia Topuria. The two will fight this February at UFC 298. He recently interviewed with Fox Sports Australia in Anaheim, California. There he accused Ilia Topuria of buying his social media followers. Here is what happened:

Alexander Volkanovski talked about earning the championship belt and how he earned everything he got. He criticized Ilia Topuria saying he does not see him doing the same. Volkanovski said:

 I don’t care that he did it. But it shows he’s happy having things given to him. I’ve earned everything, I’ve earned the championship in my bio. I’ve earned my title, earned my followers, you name it I’ve earned it all. I don’t see him doing the same.

Ilia Topuria has already made a documentary about his title win ahead of the fight. However, Alexander Volkanovski addressed the documentary and said they would need a sequel. This is because Topuria’s goal of winning the title would not be fulfilled this time. He said he would teach Topuria a lesson so he wakes up to realize that he is not a superstar. Volkanovski said he would do this so maybe one-day Topuria can be champion.

He revealed his dissent for Topuria’s current attitude and said that he does not like how Topuria carries himself. Volkanovski said Topuria believes he has already won the title and that is not the ideal way to be the champion.
