Alexander Volkanovski will go to war against Mx Holloway for the third time in his career on Saturday and he wants to put Max to sleep for the first time in his career. Alexander is the current UFC featherweight champion and he will fight Holloway to defend his title for the 4th time after winning it against Max at UFC 245 in 2019.
Alexander and Max have competed in two closely contested fights between each other and Alexander currently has an advantage of 2-0 over Max. The third fight will settle all the differences between the two featherweights and if Alexander wins the fight, it would cement his legacy as the G.O.A.T. of the featherweight division. Alexander is currently undefeated in the UFC and has expressed his desire to move up to Lightweight after finishing business with Max at featherweight.
A fight between both of the fighters would be exciting consider the striking abilities both have. Max has never been knocked out in his career and Alexander wants to change that on Saturday night. Alexander, in the press conference, talked about Max’s amazing chin and appreciated his shots talking capabilities. However, he is sure that at UFC 276, Max would face difficulties because of the power with which Volkanovski will hit him. Alexander also claimed that everyone has some weak spot and he would love to knockout Holloway at UFC 276 to make a huge statement.

Alexander Volkanovski has achieved a lot in his career in MMA and particularly in UFC. He has won over fighters like Jose Aldo, Chad Mendes and Max Holloway and he continues to dominate the featherweight division since his UFC debut in 2016. Volkanovski, in the past, expressed his desire to move up to 155 and try winning the lightweight title as well to become a double champ. However, he now feels the work is not done yet in the featherweight division.
Alexander talked about moving up to 155 and claimed that 145 is a stacked division and he needs to stay here for some time before thinking of moving up a weight class. Alexander, however, also claimed that being a double champ is in the back of his mind, but first he needs to deal will all the challenge at featherweight.

The featherweight division has many amazing fighters like Yair Rodriguez, Josh Emmett and Arnold Allen, but Alexander wants to face the toughest challenge and not give the title shot to someone who doesn’t deserve it. Alexander said: “The work’s not done. You know we’ve got a stacked division like we’ve got a lot who are coming. Maybe we have to, you know, sit and wait a little. But again, I don’t want to just give people a title shot for the sake of it.”
