UFC 276 will see one of the biggest trilogies in the history of the promotion in Alexander Volkanovski vs Max Holloway 3. UFC boss Dana White believes this trilogy is a legacy fight for both the fighters and more importantly the featherweight champion who is trying to put a nail in the coffin with his rivalry against “The Blessed Express”.

Kicking off International Fight Week is UFC 276 this weekend at the T-Mobile Arena. This pay-per-view event is stacked from top to bottom with two title fights headlining the card. One of the title fights is a trilogy bout between two of the greatest featherweights of all time. Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway clash for the third time in their career after two amazing fights in the past. While Volkanovski looks to cement his legacy as the “GOAT” of the division, Max looks to assert balance in their rivalry after going 2-0 in the first two fights.

Dana White, the president of UFC is more than excited to see how this fight plays out. The UFC boss has recently become a huge fan of Volkanovski after his feats inside the octagon. The active champion might be 2-0 in this matchup with the former champ but White still believes he has a chip on his shoulder that he needs to take care of in the co-main event this weekend.

Ahead of the pay-per-view event, Dana sits down for an interview with TMZ Sports and talks about what’s at stake in the trilogy featherweight title fight. The UFC boss also discusses the possibility of seeing the two fighters share the octagon for the fourth time depending on the results of the third fight.

“No that’s interesting. I haven’t thought about that but let’s see how this plays out,” said White talking about the chances of a fourth fight if Holloway manages to snatch the belt from Volkanovski at UFC 276. Though Alexander has beaten Holloway two times in the past, many fans and critics have not given the fighter his credit because of how controversial the second fight turned out to be.

Many fans and critics believed that the second fight should have gone in favor of the Hawaiian fighter.“This fight has to happen again because the fights have been so close. And for a guy like Volkanovski who has done literally unbelievable things in the UFC and in the sport, needs to get this Max Holloway thing off his back,” said Dana talking to TMZ Sports.

Alex is aware that the upcoming fight against Holloway is a legacy fight and can once and for all etch his name as the greatest featherweight of all time. Volkanovski has beaten legends of the division in his time as a fighter in the UFC and is yet to be defeated in that octagon.
