Alexandre Pantoja is the UFC flyweight champion. Recently, Pantoja revealed his favorite movie, which surprised many fans. Talking to Nina Marie Daniele, Pantoja revealed a famous international movie with Indian stars that he found most relatable to his life.

Nina Marie Daniele asked Alexandre Pantoja what movie best describes his life. Replying to the question, Pantoja said:

Who Wants to be a Millionaire? (Slumdog Millionaire). Yeah because the kid go to the show and don't understand something but he know all the answers because God give him the answer you know. And I think this talk about my life.

Pantoja explained how God threw in a lot of difficulties in his life, and through those difficulties, he built himself the life he was living. Pantoja said that he realized God gave him all the answers to his questions. He further explained that it made him hustle and accomplish accolades in MMA. He also claimed it was a movie that had similarities to his life.

Slumdog Millionaire is a 2008 British-Indian drama film. It tells the story of Jamal Malik, an 18-year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai who becomes a contestant on India’s ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? ‘. The movie is based on Vikas Swarup‘s 2005 novel Q&A but has a different story.

Alexandre Pantoja defends UFC flyweight championship at UFC 296

Alexandre Pantoja successfully defended his UFC flyweight championship against Brandon Royval at UFC 296 earlier this December. The Brazilian fighter won by unanimous decision. Pantoja dominated on the ground, with two judges scoring the contest 50-45 and the other returning a 49-46 verdict. Pantoja and Royval first met in August 2021, when Pantoja won by submission.

The rematch was an intense fight. Both men made massive progress since their first fight. Alexandre Pantoja said he was sad to beat Royval, calling him a “very nice kid” who had worked hard to get to that moment.

Alexandre Pantoja became the UFC Flyweight Champion in July earlier this year after defeating Brandon Moreno at UFC 290. Pantoja won the title via split decision, earning him the Fight of the Night award. Pantoja and Moreno had fought twice, first in 2016 on The Ultimate Fighter and again in 2018 at a UFC Fight Night in Chile.
