Aljamain Sterling- Henry Cejudo
Since his retirement at UFC 249, Henry Cejudo has been indulging in prospective bout conversations with a variety of opponents. He has singled out fighters ranging in weight from flyweight to lightweight. He is eager to return, as seen by the vehemence with which he expresses his desire to return.
Recently, Henry Cejudo has stated that he will only return to the octagon if a championship belt is at stake. He stated the following on The Triple C and Schmo Show, “That’s the only way I am going to fight. I’m not going to fight any other way, you know.”
Cejudo has recently re-entered the USADA drug-testing pool. He has his eyes on the bantamweight division where he formerly has been the champion. The current champion at bantamweight is Aljamain, Aljamain won his most recent title battle, a rematch with former champion Peter Yan, at UFC 273, in Jacksonville, Florida.
After five rounds of combat, a split decision was reached to unify Yan’s temporary interim title and undisputed bantamweight belt. Aljamain has put the game out of reach with his triumph. The current champion has a 2-0 record versus the previous champion.

Aljamain is relishing his victory and is being extremely active on Twitter, he is usually seen trolling his critics and his competitors. He has owned up to his character and is actively participating. Recently he tweeted, “@TJDillashaw who TF have you beaten that is soOoOoo much tougher than the guys I’ve faced? This is Comedy Central. You should do stand up with @HenryCejudo. He’s your daddy, after he sinned your needled ass”
To which Henry replied, “I hate it when my 2 kids argue over Twitter. You guys should form a Tag-Team called Needle Dick.”
The two went on a back fourth and ultimately, Aljamain stated, “Brother, if you’re not gonna come back and fight, then please do the MMA world a service and STFU already. You’re a father now, grow up.”
He also added, “The active fighters are talking” throwing shade at the fact that Henry is Retired.
That was harsh but true. Henry has been doing a whole lot of nothing. The president of the company, Dana White has explicitly stated that talking trash online won’t get him fights. Henry must come back to MMA with no stipulations as it will only red tape his comeback. Until then, the fans can enjoy the tussle between these two.
