Fitness influencer Bradley Martyn had often challenged professional fighters to a fight in a street setting. Even without any background in fighting, he seemed confident because of his weight advantage. Due to his obnoxious comments, he regularly faced a huge backlash from the fighting community. Now, former UFC champion Aljamain Sterling joined hands in trolling the bodybuilder after a viral clip on X.

In a recent viral video, an undersized fan challenged Bradley Martyn to a ‘Takedown Contest.’ As such, he successfully took down the 260-pound bodybuilder. Soon, fight fans trolled Martyn concerning his past comments. As such, Aljamain Sterling rejoiced at the video and took a jeer at him. Here is what he wrote:

Earlier, in 2023, Aljamain Sterling and his teammate Merab Dvalishvili guested Bradley Martyn’s podcast ‘Raw Talk.’ During their conversation, Martyn, as usual, questioned them about a hypothetical fight between them and him. As such, he affirmed his 100-pound weight advantage would be enough to win against them. The fighters calmly disagreed with his thought process and offered a real setting to settle their differences. Although Martyn looked satisfied with the offer, it never materialized.

Aljamain Sterling was a former bantamweight champion in the UFC. He lost the title to Sean O’Malley at
UFC 292. Afterward, he announced his move to featherweight due to a harsh weight cut to 135lbs. As such, he is to take on Calvin Kattar in his UFC featherweight debut.

What happened during Aljamain Sterling and Merab Dvalishvili’s conversation with Bradley Martyn?

Teammates Aljamain Sterling and Merab Dvalishvilli appeared on Bradley Martin’s ‘Raw Talk podcast’ in August 2023. It was soon after Sterling’s title loss to Sean O’Malley in UFC 292. So, they discussed various things concerning the UFC fighters’ careers. As such, Martyn questioned about Sterling’s controversial title win against Petr Yan in UFC 259. This conversation later turned into an argument between them.

Bradley Martyn criticized Aljamain Sterling for taking the belt after a disqualification win. So, Sterling, in his defense, stated some facts and explained his experience of that fight. However, Martyn continued his criticism, and Sterling just laughed it off. But Merab fired back at him and questioned his fighting instincts. In response, Martyn retaliated back with an expletive. Although this was a disrespect to the fighters, they kept their calm and continued the podcast. However, fight fans trashed the bodybuilder for this.

Further in the podcast, Bradley Martyn asked Aljamain Sterling what would happen if they fought on the streets. Once again, it only exposed Martyn’s naivety. However, Sterling kept his cool and answered the question. Ever since their interaction in the podcast, they’ve had a bitter-sweet relationship. Even now, Sterling trolled Martyn on X for losing a takedown challenge to an undersized opponent.
