“USADA loves me”- Aljamain Sterling opens up about frequent testing for PEDs

Aljamain Sterling recently defended his bantamweight championship and this time he has earned the title by legitimately defeating Petr Yan. The fighter showed incredible skills and beat the Russian by taking away his advantage.
Before the rematch, their rivalry was extremely nasty as Yan called out Sterling for being a fake champion. During all that heat, Sterling accused Yan of using performance-enhancing drugs. In one of his interviews in the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Sterling spoke about the matter. He said :
“I’m not trying to put dirt on Yan’s name, but there’s a lot of guys in the UFC that I competed against, and I just wouldn’t be surprised…All these guys in these other countries, I don’t think they’re being tested as much as we’re being tested, and I do think, and people can tell me I’m crazy.”
Aljamain Sterling rants about USADA frequently testing him
Sterling recently took to Twitter to show his experience with USADA testing. The fighter claimed that USADA tested him twice in the span of two weeks.
Sterling sarcastically revealed that USADA is very fond of him and that’s why they test him so frequently. Sterling claimed that in other countries the testing is not done like this.
“USADA loves me. Got tested again in about 2 weeks time span. They aren’t testing like this overseas, I bet you that. Still winnin tho! ?,”
USADA has the responsibility to check on fighters regularly in order to prevent them from using banned stuff and regulate the sport. In the U.S. USADA is fully responsible for these kinds of events. But in other countries, there are not that strong organisations that test fighters and keep them on track. This allows many MMA fighters to take advantage and use enhancers during their fights.
