As the fight between Amanda Nunes and Julianna Pena is about to take place on 10 June 2023, various assumptions are getting rumored about the Lioness. Now despite all the assumptions and rumors, Nunes coming up with an answer.

The Trilogy fight preparation for Amanda Nunes and Julianna Pena has already started for the UFC 289 main event bout. This time it will be more intense for both the women fighters as Amanda Nunes will work on closing the chapter of this trilogy. On the other hand, Juliana Pena caused a big upset in the MMA community as she submitted the champ.

Both fighters were interviewed on ESPN MMA. As the interview progresses both the fighter’s talk got a lot of heat. The 33-year-old Amanda Nunes claimed she would’ve knocked out Julianna if she wanted to which Juliana replied if she wanted then she would’ve done that too. Pena said, “I don’t think she could have finished me at any point in time in that fight because if she could have, she would have.”

Juliana even said Amanda is afraid of her as after facing the defeat she had to change her game plan completely. Pena claimed, “I think that it’s a feather in my cap to show how afraid she is to fight me because she had to go back and revamp her entire style and I turned the ‘greatest of all time’ into a counterpunching southpaw.”

UFC has seen many ups and down in a fighter’s career. After accomplishing many records talking about retirement is nothing new in the UFC. ‘Lioness’ Amanda Nunes made her debut in the year 2008. And now it’s been 15 years since she is competing in MMA.

Julianna defeated Lioness in the first fight after that, rumors were made for Amanda, like Ronda Rousey’s career. Amanda has already accomplished, which not even in a men’s division any athlete has accomplished. Many people are talking about her retirement, as does Julianna Pena in the interview. Julianna claims that she will make her retire from the sport, to which Amanda replied, “This fight’s not gonna be my retirement fight”

For the whole MMA community, it is up-front that they will be watching Lioness in the Cage. There are already 2-3 fighters who Amanda hasn’t faced yet; after this fight, she would want to face them.
