Sean O’Malley and Marlon “Chito” Vera have an upcoming fight this March at UFC 299. Ahead of this fight, Marlon received much attention over a picture of him and his family.

The X account @DovySimuMMA posted a photo collage of Vera and his wife along with his family. The post received much appreciation from fans online. Marlon Vera is married to his wife María Paulina Escobar and they have three children together. Vera is a professional MMA fighter from Ecuador and he competes in the bantamweight division of the UFC.

“Chito” joined the UFC in 2014 and fought to raise funds for his daughter’s expensive surgery. His oldest daughter had Möbius disorder, a rare neurological condition. Thanks to his efforts she successfully underwent surgery.

Meanwhile, Vera’s opponent Sean O’Malley is famously in an open relationship. O’Malley and his wife, Danya Gonzalez, have been open about their situation on social media. O’Malley has said that he can be intimate with other women. However, his wife, who previously enjoyed the same privileges, is not allowed to be romantic with other men anymore. O’Malley said that he can do this because he provides financially for his wife. O’Malley and Gonzalez have a daughter together.

The rematch between Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera will happen this March at the Kaseya Center in Miami. The duo will head UFC 299 with the bantamweight championship rematch. Vera handed O’Malley his only career loss in 2020 with a first-round TKO. Since then, O’Malley has been eager to avenge this loss, which he considers as a fluke.
