“I think he needs the UFC”- Anthony Smith asks Nate Diaz to drop his plan of leaving the UFC
Nate Diaz
Nate Diaz is becoming irritated. Diaz has been lobbying UFC president Dana White and the organization to release him from his contract. Completing the required number of fights is the most expedient way for a UFC fighter to distance oneself from the organization.
Diaz has said that he would retire after his next fight. Dustin Poirier was his ideal opponent for his rumored farewell fight, he added.
Based on his social media posts, Poirier appeared to be on board. His team and Diaz, however, are unable to strike an agreement to end the fight. Diaz-Poirier is in the works, according to White, but a trilogy match between Diaz and Conor McGregor is also feasible. Diaz is asking for a fight as soon as possible, and yet there’s no solid info about his next opponent.
Diaz trolled the UFC and its entire roster in a fantastic way. Diaz shared a photo of himself at the UFC’s Performance Institute headquarters in Enterprise, Nevada, where he appeared to be urinating. He wrote, “Taking a piss on the ufc pi I could do this cause I get paid more than all uguys and they won’t cut me.”

“I think he needs the promotional machine”- Anthony Smith explains the role of the UFC in selling out fights for Nate Diaz
Nate probably wants to take his talents out of the UFC, and he believes he can make a lot more money by doing things outside of an octagon. Many retired UFC athletes resorted to celebrity boxing, and they saw a massive difference in the amount of money they got.
Former UFC champion, Michael Bisping is a huge Nate Diaz fan, and he recently talked to Anthony Smith about Nate’s situation. Smith believes Nate should stick with the UFC. In his video, Smith said, “If he goes to another organization. I think some of those numbers are dependent on his opponent. Nate Diaz can sell fights by himself, don’t get me wrong. But at the level he’s selling at with the UFC, I think he needs the UFC.”
He added, “I think he needs the promotional machine. I think he needs the opponents that are gonna match up and play his game like Conor. There’s no Conor McGregor outside of the UFC. If you stick Nate Diaz into another organization, there’s no promos. There’s no highlights.”
