Ray Longo is one of the legendary coaches in the MMA fight scene. He recently revealed that Merab Dvalishvili had actually fought an entire fight before fighting Henry Cejudo in the octagon. Here is what happened:

Ray Longo recently did an episode with The Anik and Florian Podcast. This is where he talked about Merab Dvalishvili‘s prep fight before the actual fight against Cejudo. He said: 

Literally fought Aljo three rounds. Like f****** brutal, little gloves on, swinging for the f****** fences. Like Aljo complains about my boxing class sometimes, but that's way worse what I just saw. Dude, they went at it three-five, so yeah, that's the second fight of the night... I mean cr*zy, the guy is n**s. No drill, just complete chaos in that fight.

Merab Dvalishvili and Aljamain Sterling, are both fighters associated with Serra-Longo Fight Team. The MMA team was jointly formed by Matt Serra and Ray Longo. Merab Dvalishvili’s coach, Ray Longo, revealed that Dvalishvili fought Sterling in the back for three five-minute rounds before his fight against Henry Cejudo.

Merab Dvalishvili and Henry Cejudo fought at UFC 298 and Dvalishvili walked out victorious. Dvalishvili looked much better than Cejudo during the entire fight. It went the full distance and Dvalishvili won the fight via unanimous decision. This marked Henry Cejudo’s second consecutive loss in the UFC after his return in 2023. Cejudo had said that it would be his last fight if he were to lose.

Fans were definitely amused by the clip of Ray Longo claiming Dvalishvili fought Aljamain Sterling. Almost everybody in the comments refused to believe Longo was telling the truth.
