Belal Muhammad could not believe it when a former champion like Conor McGregor took cheap shots at the former champ, Kamaru Usman after his recent devastating defeat to Leon Edwards UFC 278.
Belal Muhammad might have rooted for Usman to lose his title in his hope for a new champion in the welterweight division but the welterweight contender would never kick the former champ down after a loss like that. Kamaru Usman was very close to another title defense before he got brutally knocked out by his rival Leon Edwards in the final minute of the fight. After Usman was put to sleep, Conor McGregor, who has previously had a few intense back-and-forths with the Nigerian Nightmare, was posting tweets that slandered the former champ.
Conor had a series of brutal tweets that showed no sympathy for Usman during his defeat at UFC 278. Belal Muhammad, a welterweight contender in a recent episode of Fighter vs Writer, said that he expected more from the Irishman, given he had also been in a similar place of defeat. “When you’re seeing guys like that, even Conor McGregor, you know how it feels to lose in a championship fight. You know how it feels to lose in front of your family, just seeing Usman’s daughter there and how she broke down…is heartbreaking,” said Belal.

Jake was also one of the few celebrities that took shots at Usman by sharing the photo of him being knocked out on the internet and making fun of the former champ. “But if you’re Jake Paul, you don’t know what it is to be in there, you don’t know what it takes to get in there,” said Belal on Jake trashing Usman for his defeat. Belal does not think Jake would ever step into a fight and take on a real opponent as Usman did.
“These guys that kick the guy when they’re down, it just shows what kind of person they are. They’re just looking for that attention. Conor McGregor’s looking for that attention. Jake Paul’s looking for that attention,” added Belal Muhamad on Jake and Conor kicking Usman after his loss. Usman has taken all the slander pretty well during his devastating loss. The fighter is in good spirits and hopes to get back in the octagon with Leon again.
Usman has his share of beef with Conor and Jake in the past. However, they have never escalated to something more than just a Twitter war of words. Conor reveled during Usman’s loss while Jake did not hesitate to post memes about Usman being knocked out.
