Bo Nickal does not mind Sean Strickland‘s cold unfiltered comments. In fact, he agrees with some of the things the former middleweight champion has to say. Strickland is known for his controversial and flagrant opinions about everything under the sun. Most of the time it rubs people the wrong way, but not in Nickal’s case. Here is what happened:
Bo Nickal recently sat down with Michael Bisping on Bisping’s YouTube channel. The two discussed various topics after which former UFC champion Sean Strickland came up. Surprisingly, Bo Nickal revealed he agrees with a fair bit of what Strickland has to say.
For me, I don't really pay attention to all the stuff outside. I saw he had a few interesting quotes in the media and stuff like that before his last fight. And honestly, for the most part, without saying it the way he said it, I agreed with a lot of what he said.Bo Nickal via Michael Bisping’s YouTube channel

Nickal said that he would always continue being himself and never play a character. He said he feels fortunate that he never had to do that. ‘Tarzan’ had always been a controversial character. However, ever since the spotlight has been shone on him, the former champion has shocked and amused the internet with his raw, unfiltered comments.
Strickland faced severe backlash during UFC 297 for his comments on the Canadian president and LGBTQ in Canada. Nickal has faced quite an amount of criticism for supporting former U.S. President Donald Trump. He has a fight coming up next month against Cody Brundage at UFC 300.
Sean Strickland opens up about his mental health
Strickland recently revealed on social media that he had been struggling with his mental health for a long time now. The former middleweight champion revealed that the only reason he had been public about it was because it has helped many of Strickland’s fans.

‘Tarzan’ said that he enjoys showing he is not a superhero. He said that any time he can connect and reach out to people with similar struggles, he tries to. The former champion said that as a fighter he could post a picture of himself training but it does not have the same effect. He found that when he showed people that he was going through the same thing that they were going through, it helped a lot of people.
Strickland also talked about his potential rematch with Dricus Du Plessis. He said that both parties want a rematch. ‘Tarzan’ revealed that he does not have to fight anymore if he does not want to. Therefore he would not take any fight that he finds boring or was not big enough. Strickland reportedly talked to Dricus’ coach and said that he had not won the title legitimately. Therefore he wants to settle the score once and for all.
