Bobby Green is a veteran UFC fighter with over 40 professional fights. He has showcased his ability to fight anyone at any time. Green even took a short-notice fight against current Lightweight Champion Islam Makachev. He took on Jared Gordon in a three-round affair at UFC Fight Night 222 (UFC Vegas 71). The bout was ruled a no-contest by Nevada State Athletic Commission after an accidental headbutt in the fight. Green appeared to win the bout via TKO until the no-contest announcement. After the fight, he vented all his frustrations on a reporter in the post-fight presser.

Bobby Green said, “He was still straight (referring to the immediate sequence after the headbutt). Then he slides on my money, that’s what I am mad about. I need my money bro. I need my money.” Green lashed out at the question asked by reporter Amy Kaplan. He slammed the microphone down and walked away.

Green and Gordon went into the fight, trying to get back to the winning column. Drew Dober defeated Green in December of last year. Gordon had a controversial loss to Paddy Pimblett at UFC 282. Green got the better of Gordon in the first round, but the clash of heads made Nevada State Athletic Commission declare it a no-contest. Surprisingly, it is the first no-contest in both of their career.

Dana White and the UFC have not responded to the fight’s decision. It remains unknown if Green will get his win bonus after claiming he won the fight. He said that even after the clash of heads, Gordon only went unconscious after getting hammered by Green’s ground and pound. Fight fans look forward to seeing if UFC will book a rematch between both fighters.

Green ran and flew into the cage athletically for his entrance. The clash of heads came from a missed Superman punch from Green, landing his head on Gordon’s. The Nevada State Athletic Commission rightly ruled the fight a no-contest because of the brutal headbutt in the fight.

Dana White and the UFC have not responded to the fight-ending sequence. Fight fans look forward to the possibility of a rematch between them because of unfinished business resulting from the fight.
