Bobby Green goes into action against Jalin Turner this weekend in UFC Austin. Ahead of his fight, he previewed Tony Ferguson’s future. As such, he mentioned ‘El Cucuy’ to pick up some basics and techniques instead of training cardio intensely. Ferguson went through ‘Hell Week’ under the guidance of retired Navy Seal David Goggins just a few weeks ago.
Bobby Green stated that Tony Ferguson didn’t have issues with cardio or his fighting spirit. He felt that the problem was not sticking to the basics. Here is what he said:
I think he'd be dope if he just picked up some of the basics, just jab a little better, his head movement a little better, small little things like that and he'll be great...It's nothing to do with his heart or his cardio.Bobby Green via The Schmo YouTube Channel

‘King’ faced Tony Ferguson earlier in UFC 291 and submitted him via an arm triangle choke in the last seconds of the fight. ‘El Cucuy’ didn’t tap to the choke but went out due to the refusal to tap. Throughout the fight, Ferguson got hit multiple times but didn’t quit on himself. As such, Bobby Green felt Ferguson’s heart and cardio during the fight but advised him to work on his basics.
Tony Ferguson is on a six-fight losing skid and faces Paddy Pimblett next at UFC 296. He took his training camp to David Goggins with the hope of changing things for the better. However, he received a lot of criticism for the same.
Bobby Green responds to Paddy Pimblett’s call-out and criticizes him for looking ahead of Tony Ferguson
Bobby Green faces Jalin Turner in the co-main event of UFC Austin. During the pre-fight media day, he addressed Paddy Pimblett’s call out of him. He felt that ‘The Baddy’ was looking past Tony Ferguson, which wasn’t a good idea.

‘King’ was shocked to hear that Paddy Pimblett had called him out. As such, Bobby Green stated that Pimblett was talking and didn’t mean what he said. However, he mentioned ‘The Baddy’ to win and talk over Ferguson. Also, he believed that Ferguson was a tough challenge despite his losing streak. Check out Green responded in the tweet below:
Earlier, Green-backed ‘El Cucuy’ to win the fight against Pimblett in an interview with ‘The Schmo’. As such, he wanted Paddy Pimblett to look at the task instead of past it. Tony Ferguson and Pimblett go into business in UFC 296.
