Bobby Green has been in the UFC since 2009 and has some opinions on what makes an interesting fight. He recently made some comments on the fighting styles of fighters like Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev. Here is what happened:
Bobby Green recently did a podcast with UFC veteran Rampage Jackson. There he talked about why he found Khabib and Islam’s style of fighting to be boring. He said:
And some of the guys like the Khabib, the Islam, the guys like that. They were hugging too much where it's like I came to see a fight. I ain't come to see this shit you know. I walk out of the middle of the show be like this shit boring, I rather go home watch the TV.Bobby Green via JAXXON Podcast
Rampage Jackson agreed with Bobby and shared his own experience with fighting in Japan. Jackson said that he would rather lose an exciting fight than win a boring fight. He shared how in Japan if a fighter tried his best and fought with a fighting spirit, the fans never turned their back on them even if they lost the fight.
Bobby and Islam faced each other back in 2022. Green lost the fight via TKO in the first round of UFC Vegas 49. After trading some punches, Makhachev dropped Green and started swinging to force the TKO. Green had accepted the fight with 10 days’ notice after Beneil Dariush dropped out due to a leg injury. After the fight, he said that he would like a rematch, but with a full camp to prepare.
Bobby Green’s upcoming fight with Jim Miller at UFC 300
Bobby Green will fight Jim Miller at UFC 300 this April at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The duo will headline the lightweight bout. They were previously scheduled to fight at UFC 258.
Miller boasts a professional record of 37 wins 17 losses and 1 no contest. He is the younger brother of former UFC fighter Dan Miller. Miller made his UFC debut at UFC 80 and is a veteran in the sport. He is currently on a two-fight winning streak having recently fought at UFC Fight Night 234.
Meanwhile Bobby Green stands with a professional MMA record of 31 wins, 14 losses, 1 draw, and 1 no-contest. It will be interesting to see how exciting of a fight Green puts up at the highly anticipated UFC 300.
