YouTuber Bradley Martyn has made a name for himself in the MMA community by challenging every other MMA fighter. ‘But, I’m 260 though!’ is Martyn’s defense to his callouts. MMA fighters have responded to his challenges by promising a violent end to the bout. However, this hasn’t stopped Martyn from making these crazy matchups with him and other fighters. Recently Chito Vera appeared on Martyn’s podcast called ‘Raw Talk’.
On the podcast, Bradley asked Chito his usual question, “Who’ll win in a street fight?“. Chito came with a prepared answer to this question. The bantamweight said, “The only way for you to beat me is if you grab me and hit my head with a wall. Then if I get KO. Because if you don’t knock me out, I’m gonna keep coming. You don’t know I’m an animal dude. I’m gonna take the eyes off your face. I’m opening your guts and playing with them.”
Further, in the interview, Chito elaborated on his answer by relating it to his street fighting experience. Vera said he has taken on many street fights in his youth, making him fearless in such situations. After this response from Vera, the MMA community will hope that the YouTuber will stop the banter.
The size and the weight make a huge play in such matchups, but no one can deny a fighter’s experience in such situations. Recently, podcaster Brendan Schaub updated Martyn with a challenge for a street fight that MMA elite Demetrious Johnson posed.
Chito Vera talks about his potential December bout with champion Sean O’Malley
The first name that came out of Sean O’Malley’s mouth after the title win was Marlon Vera. The two previously fought back in UFC 252, in which Vera emerged victorious. The new bantamweight champion is looking to get his revenge after calling Vera out. However, after some trash talk, the talks for a bout in December look unsure. Vera’s appearance at Noche UFC recently cleared some speculations regarding his fight with O’Malley.
Vera revealed that no advances have happened in the deal for a potential fight in December 2023. Further, Vera also claims that O’Malley is backing out from this potential matchup. Vera said that O’Malley has the champion status and can call the shots in the division. After this reveal, the future for a fight between the two looks uncertain.
Both the fighters have gone back and forth on social media and shared some inch of bad blood. The matchup between the two could be entertaining regarding their previous bout.
