Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo agree for a fourth fight
The country of Mexico has a champion in the UFC yet again. Brandon Moreno proves all his doubters wrong in the co-main event of UFC 277. Reigning flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo spices things up in the octagon interview by entering the cage and exchanging words with his fierce rival.
The flyweight division is brewing yet another title fight between Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo. Just when you thought the two fighters were done with their rivalry, Moreno earns a win against Kai Kara-France in the co-main event of UFC 277 and jumps right back into the conversation for another title fight with the Brazilian. The two have fought each other thrice before inside the octagon. They will be making history if they end up fighting each other again for the fourth time.
After Moreno’s win over Kai Kara-France, the Mexican invited Deiveson to step into the octagon with his belt and have a word with him about their potential tetralogy fight. “Man, I don’t hate you. I don’t feel anything against you. I forgive you and please forgive me if I did something bad against you, brother. Don’t be confused, I wanna fight. I want to fight against you in December,” said Brandon looking at Deiveson in the octagon interview.
Since the trilogy fight, both Deiveson and Brandon have not been on the best of terms. The two fighters have been going back and forth on social media and during interviews. Deiveson also accused Moreno of being a racist and claimed he wouldn’t fight him until very recently when he changed his mind. Moreno has asked for Deiveson’s forgiveness and they want to run it back again.
“I have a lot of respect” – Deiveson Figueiredo responds to Brandon Moreno’s offer
Deiveson stepped into the octagon and showed respect to his fierce rival and promised to fight him next. The Brazilian also responded to the crowd who were booing him. “This guy right here, tonight is his night and he is the champion. You know what and I have a lot of respect for him. And these boos around here, you are gonna learn to respect because there are two fighters here who respect each other and they are here to put on a show for all of you,” said Figueiredo in response to Moreno’s call out.

There has never been a fourth fight between two fighters in the promotion’s history and these two flyweight champions have an opportunity to write their names in the history books.
Brandon wants to fight in December while Deiveson wants to wait out for the rest of the year and take the fight to his hometown of Brazil. UFC has announced that they will be looking to put on a card in Brazil that has the interest of the reigning flyweight champion. It will be interesting to see how this rivalry plays out during the tetralogy.
