Breaking: Anshul Jubli and Pawan Mann to represent India in UFC’s newly announced 8 man tournament

UFC has recently announced the participants for Road to UFC and 2 Indian fighters, Anshul Jubli and Pawan Mann will represent India on the global stage. Road to UFC is a “win and advance” tournament that will take top MMA prospects from Asia and give them a pathway to a UFC contract.

UFC has recently announced that the Road to UFC will launch in Singapore with opening rounds during UFC 275. UFC 275 is the first event that will take place in Southeast Asia and it will feature two title fights on the Main Card. In the main event, Light heavyweight Champion Glover Teixeira will defend his belt against #2 ranked fighter Jiri Prochazka. Women #1pound-for pound best fighter Valentina Shevchenko will also defend her Flyweight belt, for the seventh time, against Taila Santos in the Co-Main event.

As the event promises grand entertainment for the fans, it has also provided an amazing opportunity for the fighters from Asia. Road to UFC tournament will feature eight mixed martial arts athletes competing in each of four men’s weight classes: flyweight, bantamweight, featherweight, and lightweight. The opening round of Road to UFC will take place on June June 9 and June 10 in Singapore ahead of UFC 275. The semifinals and finals are scheduled for later this year. A UFC contract will be awarded to each of the four division’s winners.

UFC has announced the fighters taking part in the ROAD TO UFC tournament. Fighters from Japan, Korea, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, India, and China are fighting in the tournament. Indian Fighters Anshul Jubli and Pawan Mann are competing in the lightweight division of the tournament and both fighters will give their all for the UFC contract.

Anshul is an MMA fighter from Uttarakhand, India, and currently fights in the Matrix Fight Night. He is one of the top MMA athletes in the country and has an unbeaten professional record of 5 wins and 0 losses. Anshul will compete in the lightweight division of the tournament.

Pawan Mann
Pawan Mann

Pawan Mann Singh is one of the most well-known fighters in India and he holds a professional record of 7wins 2 losses and 1 draw. Pawan started his fighting career as a boxer and transited to MMA after his peer inspired him to do so. He fights in the welterweight category. However, he will compete in the lightweight category alongside Anshul in the Road TO UFC.

To provide additional opportunities for MMA prospects in Asia, there will also be one non-tournament bout on each card, for a total of five bouts at each event. No official matchup has been yet revealed by the UFC.
