For Chael Sonnen, Anthony Smith vs Magomed Ankalaev is that one fight you cannot miss at all costs come UFC 277. Sonnen, a retired fighter is a Youtuber who often talks on his channel about all things associated with MMA, sometimes boxing and eventually, bits of other big news around the world as well. Smith and Ankalaev are fighting in the light-heavyweight bout. Smith is on a 3-fight winning streak whereas Ankalaev is on an 8-fight winning streak.
Smith has won over the likes of Rashad Evans, Shogun Rua, Hector Lombard, Volkan Oezdemir, Alexander Gustafsson and many more. Ankalaev is coming off victories over Thiago Santos, Volkan Oezdemir, Nikita Krylov, Ion Cutelaba and many more. Both fighters are seasoned strikers with a vicious intent to knock their opponents out, but are really good in grappling departments as well, considering Smith has a slick Jiu-Jitsu game and Magomed is a strong wrestler.

In one of the videos on his Youtube Channel, Sonnen talks about how Ankalaev vs Smith is as exciting a matchup stylistically in the UFC 277 fight card as it could be and in the end also reveals his pick for the winner.
“This fight is a mess, this is a freaking mess and there’s nothing we like more than chaos and I want to make sure that you’re observing it,” says Sonnen “It’s very hard to return to a title shot when you didn’t get it the first time. As you get older you don’t generally get better but Anthony Smith is different and he’s done it the hard way, and now he’s going in there with Ankalaev… and he got it [the fight] because no one else would do it, you got to give credit for that…
Ankalev is a scary guy… I haven’t seen him lose around, I also haven’t seen guys fight him… there’s something there that intimidates guys and don’t fight him…” continues Sonnen.
