Mike Tyson- Chael Sonnen

Chael Sonnen just backed his defence of Hulu yet again of boxing icon Mike Tyson’s life story is documented by the OTT platform which Tyson has claimed to be unfair because he wasn’t paid for it. Sonnen is a retired MMA fighter with a record of 31-17 and a draw and wins over the likes of Quinton Jackson, Michael Bisping, Mauricio Rua, Wanderlei Silva, Nate Marquardt, Paulo Filho and many more. Sonnen ended his MMA career with a resume of being a multiple-time UFC title challenger and semi-finalist in one of Bellator MMA’s Grand Prix.

Tyson is widely considered one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time. Tyson became the second youngest world champion in boxing history when he captured the heavyweight belt at the age of just 19. Tyson is considered one of the most ferocious and powerful fighters of the last century. Tyson today is a successful entrepreneur and Youtuber- thanks to his famous podcast, Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson. Tyson was trained under late great Cus D’Amato who also trained the heavyweight great Muhammad Ali.

Mike Tyson’s infamous enmity with Hulu has gone sensational as a huge number of combat sports athletes primarily across boxing and MMA have come in support of Tyson. However, Chael Sonnen has occasionally come in support of the OTT platform owned by Disney by complimenting the movie made on Tyson’s life without Tyson’s consent. Recently, Tyson saw himself in an interview with senior journalist Greta Van Susteren telling about how he exactly feels about the whole Hulu situation.

Sonnen came to Twitter referring to the interview and said “So @greta over @FoxNews Just had Mike Tyson on. She said she cannot believe somebody would use Mike’s image and story to make money while not paying him. She was paid to do this interview, but did not pay him.” In response, Susteren quoted Sonnen’s tweet and said “I don’t work at Fox News.” Indeed, Sonnen was handed a minor loss here for Susteren actually works at Newsmax TV and Sonnen claimed that she works at Fox News.

What do you make of this defeat handed to the MMA community’s “undefeated” Sonnen? Do you think Sonnen is right in defending Hulu against Tyson’s claims of having his life story being used by the OTT platform unfairly? Who do you side with on this issue, Tyson or Hulu? Where do you put Sonnen amongst the greatest trash talkers in MMA History? Where do you put Tyson amongst the greatest boxers of all time?
