Chael Sonnen gives his thoughts on the infamous trial between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp
Chael Sonnen has been very vocal about his opinions on the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard trial. Johnny Depp and Amber Heard made their defamation trial in court available to the public eye.
The Johnny Depp – Amber Heard trial was the talk of the town for a stunning 6 weeks as the two parties went back and forth in court providing to be entertainment for several viewers across the globe. Chael Sonnen, the former UFC fighter was tuned in for every bit of the trial and has been posting videos on his opinions on the trial. A jury from Virginia confirmed that the actress defamed Johnny. The jury also rewarded Johnny $15 million in damages.
In a recent video on YouTube on his channel, Uncle Chael spoke about the aftermath of the infamous trial and Amber releasing a statement that said the actress still believes that her accusations were truthful and legitimate. “If you are in her place, you take your oars out of the water, you lay absolutely low and when you resurface, you know what you do, you do the hardest thing in the world which no human being wants to do, you apologize,” said Chael in his recent YouTube video.

Chael Sonnen claims Johnny Depp was not sure he was going to win
Though the jury ruled that Depp was defamed by Heard and rewarded him with $15 million in damages, Heard too was ruled in favor of defamation and awarded $2 million. Though the public has been celebrating Johnny for his victory, Chael Sonnen believes Depp was not confident he would win the trial. According to Sonnen, Amber was protected by the United States Constitution and the first amendment.
“She was protected under the First Amendment,” said Chael Sonnen. “There was nothing from a legal standpoint in the jurisdiction this was held that would trump her constitutional right to freedom of speech. I wanted Johnny to win just as much as you guys did. That’s the reality. But Johnny didn’t take her to court to beat her.”
Chael also was very quick to react to the result of the Johnny Depp – Amber Heard trial as he tweeted out his reactions. “DEPP by UD,” wrote Chael suggesting the actor won the case via unanimous decision.
