“Diaz accepted a fight”- Chael Sonnen teases a big return for Nate Diaz sooner than we expected

Nate Diaz is currently in the last fight of his UFC contract and desperately wants to get into the octagon and think about the future. Diaz’s last fight was against Leon Edwards at UFC 263 last year which he lost via unanimous decision. It’s been a long time since Diaz has been asking UFC for his next fight but the promotion still hasn’t given any answers.
Diaz’s name was previously linked with Dustin Poirier who was going to move up a weight class to fight the Stockton native. But the fight didn’t materialize due to some unknown reasons. Recently, there were rumors that Diaz was going to take on the Russian hype train, Khamzat Chimaev. However, UFC president Dana White suggested that the promotion is still working on it.
Recently Nate lost his patience with the UFC, and he asked to be released from the organization. He even agreed to fight Jake Paul in a boxing match, and UFC president Dana White claimed that this fight makes sense.

Is Nate Diaz fighting Khamzat Chimaev?
Amidst all the rumors, former UFC contender, Chael Sonnen revealed some exciting news. He was talking about Diaz in his recent YouTube video, and he teased his return sooner than we expected.
He said, “I got a little inside scoop for you guys, which is Diaz has accepted a fight. Diaz has a fight coming up. I gotta stop right there. I don’t know who the opponent is and I’m not holding that from you. And we know Chimaev and Nate have been associated together for a period of time now.”
He added, “I’m not announcing for you guys that it’s Diaz vs. Chimaev. I’m sharing some inside, Diaz has a fight. That I’m sharing with you guys. Is it Chimaev?”
