Former champion Israel Adesanya and his long-time rival Alex Pereira will fight for a fourth time at UFC 287. They are currently in the final week of preparation and media obligation for the PPV. ESPN MMA sat down with Pereira to compose a fun segment of what the champion thought about his fellow fighters. In the segment, Pereira showed his respect to everyone except one guy.

Pereira was asked about what he thought about fighters like Robert Whittaker, Jon Jones, Jamahal Hill, Jiri Prochazka, Israel Adesanya and Khamzat Chimaev. He called Whittaker, Jones, and Adesanya “Warriors”. He said that Hill was good and Jiri was very good, but he did not have nice things to say about Khamzat. Upon hearing Chimaev’s name, he replied, “Dog’s A**hole”.

Alex Pereira and Khamzat Chimaev have gone back and forth since Pereira became the champion. Pereira even called out Chimaev to fight in the Light Heavyweight division. The former kickboxing world champion did not hold back when asked about Chimaev. At the moment, Chimaev is not booked to fight.

Chimaev has not fought since his submission victory over Kevin Holland at UFC 279. After weight-cut struggles, Chimaev has decided to move to the Middleweight division. Dana White confirmed that the UFC is trying to book Chimaev with top-ranked contenders in the division.

When the Wolf heard the Poatan speak ill of him, the Wolf decided to fire a response on Twitter to Pereira. Chimaev has made it clear in the past about his desire to fight Alex Pereira and even claimed that Bo Nickal would easily defeat the champion in a potential bout.

He wrote, “Don’t be afraid boy, I promise I’ll make it real fast, see you soon.” Khamzat Chimaev is a grappler and can have a favorable match-up against Pereira in a potential fight. Pereira struggled against Adesanya when he deployed his wrestling against the Brazilian fighter.

Chimaev hopes to fight someone ranked at the top of the Middleweight division. Alex Pereira will defend his title against Adesanya at UFC 287. He will look to put the rivalry to an end by beating Israel Adesanya a second time in MMA. If both fighters continue to win, they will soon clash inside the Octagon.
