“Save your own face” – Chechen Warlord Ramzan Kadyrov sends scary message to Dana White after ‘dirty politics’ at UFC 282, demands apology from UFC boss

UFC 282 has escalated to unprecedented levels as Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov calls out UFC President Dana White for snubbing Russian fighter Magomed Ankalaev from winning the light heavyweight belt at UFC 282.
Dana White would’ve never expected the final pay-per-view event of 2022 to end in such a controversial way. UFC 282 was headlined by Magomed Ankalaev and Jan Blachowicz for the light heavyweight title. The two fighters fought an amazing battle with Ankalaev looking like the winner of the fight. The judges of the fight surprised everyone by calling the contest a split draw. This meant that there would be no winner and the vacant title remained vacant.
Magomed Ankalaev was in disbelief and also claimed he would leave the organization as he walked out of the octagon with tears in his eyes. Ramzan Kadyrov, the Chechen leader was upset that his fighter was snubbed of a deserving victory and put out a message for UFC boss Dana White on his Telegram account. Kadyrov has over 3 million subscribers on the channel.
“Dana White, what happened to you? You were a normal, principled man, and today you took the championship belt out of the ring without handing it to the clear winner. Or has politics entered the UFC ring and requires you to referee dirty?” wrote Kadyrov posting a video of White walking out of the octagon with the belt. The leader then demanded that the UFC head honcho apologized immediately and crown Ankalaev the champ.
“Save the face of the league, your own face. Admit your mistake, give the belt to the real winner, and apologize for this show. Save your league’s reputation,” wrote Kadyrov in his Telegram account.

The leader of the Chechen republic is a lover of combat sports and runs his very own fight gym in the name of Akhmat Fight Club. This gym has produced several fighters that are now competing in various organizations all over the world. Some of the most popular fighters that are part of the biggest promotion in the world, UFC are Magomed Ankalaev, Said Nurmagomedov, Albert Duraev, and former champ Fabricio Werdum.
Ankalaev and Werdum are the most popular names of the fighters representing Akhmat FC in the UFC right now. Kadyrov also has several connections to other fighters. Stars like Justin Gaethje, Kamaru Usman, and Henry Cejudo recently visited Kadyrov’s facilities and spent time with his son trying their hands at war weapons.
Fighters from Kadyrov’s world like Dagestani fighters, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and Islam Makhachev are very close to the leader. Khamzat Chimaev probably is the fighter that has the most relation with Kadyrov as he spends a lot of time with his son in training and has also met with the warlord several times.
