Chris Curtis trolls Israel Adesanya

It’s been nearly two weeks since UFC 276 and Israel Adesanya is still catching strays for his one-liner at the press conference. This time, it was middleweight Chris Curtis who trolled the champion for his “cringe” performance.

UFC 276 was one of the biggest pay-per-view events of the year as it took place on International Fight Week. The card was stacked from top to bottom and the event was headlined by the middleweight bout between Israel Adesanya and Jared Cannonier. Leading up to the fight, the pre-fight press conference had fighters from the main, co-main event, and also Alex Pereira and Sean Strickland.

Izzy and Alex Pereira are rivals from their kickboxing days and the two together in the same stage after several meant that the Stylebender was going to direct some shots at the Brazilian. In an attempt to do so, Izzy delivered quite possibly one of the worst one-liners in history, according to Chris Curtis, the rising middleweight fighter. Chris took to Twitter to troll the middleweight champion for his “Frozen” reference.

“Ok guys, after a lot of thought I think Izzy’s “frozen like Elsa” line finally replaces Ken Shamrock’s “beat you into a living death line” as the most cringe one liner in a UFC press conference. Thoughts?” wrote Chris trolling the middleweight champion.

Izzy said, “Last time, I put you on skates. This time when I put you on skates, I will leave you Frozen like Elsa,” aimed toward Alex Pereira who couldn’t understand a word that the champion said. It was truly one of the most cringeworthy moments in the press conference. Curtis believes it is right up there with former UFC fighter Ken Shamrock threatening legend Tito Ortiz in a press conference, saying, “If I was you, I’d hope to god you’d come ready. If you don’t, I’m gonna beat you into a living death!”

It is safe to say Chris would have few words to say to Israel if they ever meet down the road in a potential fight. Curtis is rising up the rankings and is looking to fight Jack Hermansson at UFC London.
