UFC heavyweight Ciryl Gane got back on his winning ways after his victory against Sergey Spivak. The event at UFC Paris saw Gane win the fight with a second-round TKO. In the crowd at UFC Paris, No. 4 ranked contender Tom Aspinall was present. Due to his presence, speculations were arising for a future matchup between Gane and Aspinall. However, in a recent interview, Gane cleared up all the doubts regarding the rumored Tom Aspinall bout.
In the interview, Gane said, “I know a lot of people are talking about Aspinall, but this just doesn’t make sense for me. Everytime with my management, they’ve done a really great job all of my career, that’s why it was moving so fast and now I just want to go to the belt. I am the No.1 contender, he is No.4. It just doesn’t make sense to just want to go down.”
Gane, after his win against Spivak, is planning for another go at the heavyweight title. His previous appearances in a title match were against the likes of Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones. The Frenchman is not looking to give handouts or compete against lower-ranked fighters. His eyes are set on the heavyweight belt.
Aspinall, on the other hand, is a promising fighter who’s rising up the ranks. His win against Marcin Tybura has definitely put him on the map. Gane will be looking forward to UFC 295. The event will showcase Jon Jones’s first heavyweight title defense against heavyweight great Stipe Miocic. The winner from this bout will possibly interest Gane for his next fight.
Ciryl Gane shares details of a traumatizing home break-in
While UFC Heavyweight Ciryl Gane was brawling in the octagon with Sergey Spivak, a group of burglars were setting their eyes on Gane’s house. Reportedly, during the fight, a group of thieves broke into Gane’s house at Nogent-sur-Marne. This group was successful in stealing items worth around $160,000.

After investigation, it was discovered that a forced entry was made from Gane’s front entrance. The police are in the process of finding the suspects who are still on the run. When asked about this incident, Ciryl spoke about the damage that the thieves left. He also emphasized the fact that his daughters and wife were lucky enough not to be present in that situation. His MMA popularity could be the reason for this attack, according to Gane.
The whole robbery was conducted exactly during the last fight at UFC Paris. Directly after Gane’s win, the Frenchman was informed of this tragic incident. As a result, it created buzz among the fans.
