“He put pain in people’s lives,” Colby Covington OUTRAEGOUSLY compares Hitler and Leon Edwards’ dad despite backlash after UFC 296

In pure "Chaotic" fashion, an indifferent Colby Covington stands by his slamming taunt of Leon Edwards' father.

Colby Covington recently suffered a unanimous decision skid to reigning 170lber Leon Edwards. The UFC 296 headlining welterweight affair, albeit a slow one, was a grudging one. The now 17-4 wrestler had hurdled undignified commentary on the rival’s deceased father. While true to his moniker, Edwards had attacked “Choas” for the joke about his dead father, at the UFC 296 pre-fight Media Day presser.

Despite his title loss, the fighter, however, remains nonchalantly indignant towards the matter. His sneer at the rival’s father had recently earned a taunt from the promotions’ helmsman, CEO Dana White. Covington made an appearance on the PBD podcast (Ep.343), with co-hosts Patrick Bet-David, Adam Sosnick, and Vincent Oshana. Unbothered, here’s what the fighter had to say:

[Yes]I am doubling down...Why would I feel bad for anything bad I say about someone that is such a criminal and put so much pain in people's lives? You know...I'm not gonna feel bad for someone like that; just like Hitler! He was a terrible person, man...

The recent loss marks Covington’s third title contention skid. The others were at UFC 245 and UFC 268. Both the previous drubs came at the hands of the former P4P king, the 20-4 striker Kamaru Usman. With a lot of boastful build-up to the bout, the fans subsequently jeered at his UFC 296 loss with full force.

Moreover, Covington also barbed back that his defeat was due to judges wrongly scoring. This, he claimed was due to judges’ bias on close acquaintance Donald Trump (Ex-president and Republican Party Nominee).

Colby Covington doubles down on personal diss to Leon Edwards, even after defeat

Colby “Chaos” Covington has been making the rounds on social media and celebrity podcasts. Succeeding his UFC 296 title skid, the 169lber is still adamantly set against rival Leon Edwards. Recently appearing on the PBD podcast, he dissed the opponent’s dead father yet again. Coincidentally though, this isn’t the only occasion.

Many peers had girded down his indignant approach to defame someone’s father for the sake of build-up. Many UFC fighters had even alluded to his post-UFC 272 feud with Jorge Masvidal as “righteous”, in light of these statements. Check out what “Chaos” had to say moments after his loss, at the UFC 296 post-fight press conference.

Edwards, the Kingston resident, had lost his father to a nightclub shootout in London. This was at the young age of thirteen, after his move to Aston, Birmingham. The likes of Jon Jones, Israel Adesanya, Masvidal, Paddy Pimblett, and even new signage Michael “Venom” Page have thus dissed Covington to opt for such insults.
