Former sign language interpreter and comedian Moshe Kasher reveals his experience growing up with a deaf parent to Joe Rogan.

UFC color commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan brings in various types of guests on his podcast. One of his most recent guests was comedian Moshe Kasher. One of the many things Rogan and Kasher talked about was Kasher’s knowledge of sign language and deaf people. Here is what happened:
Moshe Kasher made his appearance on episode #2095 of the Joe Rogan Experience. There he revealed his experience as the son of a deaf parent. Kasher said:
My life was going to appointments with my mother and being tasked with the job of interpreting for my mom's medical appointments. It was like a non-consensual internship program. Like her medical appointments. And then I started getting in trouble and then the subject of the meeting would be me.Moshe Kasher via JRE

Moshe Kasher is a stand-up comedian among many other things. He worked as a sign language interpreter from the age of 17. Kasher’s parents met at the 1967 World Games for the Deaf and divorced when Kasher was nine. He has said that his experience as an American Sign Language interpreter has formed his comedy.
He wrote a memoir titled “Subculture Vulture.” There he discussed how his upbringing influenced him, including his experience as a professional sign language interpreter. However, Kasher no longer works as an interpreter. His background in sign language has influenced and contributed to his comedic and creative endeavors.
Joe Rogan strikes a new deal with Spotify worth millions
Joe Rogan recently signed a new deal with Spotify for his podcast, the “Joe Rogan Experience”. The deal is reportedly worth up to $250 million.

It includes a guaranteed upfront payment as well as a share of revenue. The deal includes an upfront minimum guarantee and a revenue-sharing agreement based on ad sales. The contract is not exclusive, allowing Rogan to continue his podcast on other platforms such as YouTube as well. Rogan shared the news of his new multi-year deal with Spotify on his Instagram story.
Rogan already had his four-year exclusive run on Spotify. Meanwhile, Spotify is hoping to use the popularity of Rogan’s show to drive its advertising revenue. With Rogan’s net worth already in the millions, this new deal will significantly boost his net worth.
