Conor McGregor makes his acting debut in the remake of the 1989 classic Road House. The reinvented movie featured Jake Gyllenhaal as the protagonist and the Irishman in a pivotal antagonist role. As such, the Irishman proclaimed himself as the highest-paid debutant in Hollywood, surpassing Dwayne Johnson’s previous record high.

Prime Video released the movie’s trailer recently, giving the fans a first look at Conor McGregor’s acting skills. As such, ‘The Notorious’ took it to X to ask for the feedback of the fans. Subsequently, he declared breaking Dwayne Johnson’s record to become Hollywood’s highest-paid debutant. But he deleted the tweet quickly. Anyway, here is what he wrote:

What did you think of my acting debut movie trailer? Hell of a ride! I am now officially the highest-paid first time actor of all time, on record, pipping Dwayne Johnson for the top spot. Incredible!

Dwayne Johnson claimed the record of the highest-paid debut actor when he entered Hollywood with the film The Mummy Returns. He reportedly earned around $ 5.5 million for the gig. As such, Conor McGregor disclosed surpassing this amount and speculatively would’ve earned anywhere between $6 million to $10 million.

Road House is set for exclusive release on Amazon Prime on 21 March 2024. As such, the MMA world awaited to witness Conor McGregor on screen. As for his MMA career, he announced returning during International Fight Week to face Michael Chandler at middleweight.

Conor McGregor was confident in leaving a mark with his acting debut

After the release of Road House’s trailer, Conor McGregor shared his excitement about the film on his X handle. The film featured Hollywood star Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead role. Also, ‘Bourne Identity fame Doug Liman directed the film, escalating the expectations for its action sequences.

In his recent tweet, Mcgregor boasted about his numerous talents including acting. As such, he shared the trailer of his debut film Road House on X. Here is what he said:

Although many awaited McGregor’s Hollywood debut, fight fans wanted him to return to fighting. As such, he revealed his comeback fight against Michael Chandler in June 2024. This would mark his three-year layoff since his last bout with Dustin Poirier in 2021.
