One wonders what a successful MMA fighter does in the downtime, away from the Octagon. In the case of Conor McGregor, one does not wonder much. The 22-6 lightweight and former two-division champion wears his successes on his sleeves. “The Notorious”, true to his moniker, is notoriously infamous in MMA. Outside, he is an MMA promoter, entrepreneur, and owner of the Irish ‘Black Forged Stout’ Whiskey. On the sidelines, the fighter recently expressed that his patience is wearing thin, before UFC 300.

The fighter last fought against Dustin Poirier in 2021. As such, McGregor is an international man of mystery himself. Resonating that value, a new clip has surfaced. Taking to his Instagram stories, the fighter is mimicking the iconic James Bond. In pure McGregor fashion, he mimics the line – “The name’s Bond“, followed by hysteric self-imposed laughter. A prime reaction mocks by saying “Double Coke  7“.

In the last of his trilogy bout against 29-8 Poirier at UFC 264, McGregor broke his fibula. Since then the fighter has undergone immense recovery and titanium shinbone insertion. Recently though the fighter has kept fans apprised of his training, checking in powerful kicks in sparring sessions. He also hinted at being “all in” for the possibilities of UFC 300.

The fighter is infamous for his temperamental disposition and enjoying the company of cannabinoid substances. Accordingly, a handful of fans threw shade upon the inactive fighter for this. His jovial enaction of the line has had some positive feedback as well.

Conor McGregor is spending time on the sideline, hoping to make a comeback on the historic UFC 300 card. He recently visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for the DAZN PPV ‘Day of Reckoning’ for Riyadh Boxing Season. As such the Irishman engages in numerous blithe and festivities, with many fans and peers. The fighter also happens to be an avid fan of James Bond. In 2021, he uploaded a snap of him coming out of the sea in blue trunks, recreating a scene from Casino Royale.

He had captioned the post “Double 0 Twelve!” – a jab at his whiskey Proper Twelve. Recently, yet again, he enacted James Bonds’ famous catchphrase in a recent Instagram video. Check out how fans have reacted to it:

Previously McGregor had also disclosed that he was once asked to be a villain in a new and coming James Bond movie. Judging from the slights at the fighter above, McGregor misses his mark of being James Bond by a lot. A lot of fans have cued in his cannabinoid practices and even rigorously shammed his inactive status.
