“It’s stupid” – Conor McGregor ‘criticizes’ Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis for claiming to bet their entire purse

UFC fighter and Irish megastar Conor McGregor is arguably the biggest name in the UFC. The ‘Notorious’ is the main factor responsible for the massive growth that the company has seen over the past decade. His outspoken nature and larger-than-life personality have created a league of their own in combat sports. The fighter is also known for his controversies inside and outside the octagon. His worldwide fanbase and popularity have transcended beyond fighting, landing him a mention in Forbes’ highest-paid athletes list.

Conor McGregor also has a huge presence on Twitter. He does not have a filter and speaks his mind on Twitter. This has landed him in rivalries with other fighters, personalities, or even random users. This time, it is against lightweight boxers Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis. Although he did not mention any names, fans seem to figure out who he was calling out.

“Has any competing fighters bet their purse against each other and then followed thru? We should stop doing this. Fighting is tough. It can go anyway. Luck plays a hell of a part. Don’t be saying you are betting your fight purse against each other. Because it never happens. And it’s stupid. Train hard. Fight hard. Earn your dough. And then enjoy it. God bless,” tweeted Conor McGregor. This tweet was on the back of Garcia and Davis’ claims of betting their money earned from the fight to the winner.

The betting seems to have infuriated McGregor. In combat sports, fighters tend to bet on things for their victory. This is done to either hype up the fight or show belief in themselves. Oftentimes, the betting falls flat as they fail to follow through. The ‘Notorious’ called this out on Twitter.

Conor McGregor continues to insult Khabib Nurmagomedov in new tweet

The feud between Conor McGregor and Russian UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of the most brutal rivalries in the UFC. This conflict has not ended since Khabib cornered one of McGregor’s friends. This rivalry is responsible for trash talks, call-outs, and even physical altercations. The Irishman went on to attack Khabib’s family and religion, which caused more hatred within the community.

The Conor McGregor vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov fight at UFC 229 was supposed to settle it all. But, it is a never-ending cycle. After an altercation in the octagon from both teams, the fighters were suspended. This enraged each other more to the point of irredeemable hatred. Since then, Conor has continued to insult the Russian any chance he gets. This time, it is no different, as McGregor has slighted Khabib in a new tweet.

One fan tweeted at Conor, saying, “You still owe khabib your fight purse after that mauling.” “Khabib is a fat b**** with t*** now, lad,” replied Conor McGregor to the fan. This reply was in reference to the weight gained by Nurmagomedov after his retirement.

There seems to be no end to the rivalry between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. Since their fight in 2018, rumors of a rematch have been around the town. However, since Khabib has retired, the gate on the potential rematch seems to be shut and left to rust.
