UFC superstar Conor McGregor has a history of flipping on his comments. McGregor recently went back and forth with UFC journalist Ariel Helwani. They argued about the induction of his former rival Dustin Poirer into the prestigious Hall Of Fame in the future. This argument was rooted when Conor McGregor posted on Twitter about his thoughts on the potential induction.

McGregor argued with Helwani by saying, “Never won an undisputed title. 0-3 in title fights. I disagree on Hall of Fame. All due respect, he has one solid win over me, where he was getting pucked around the cage before he got it, and then the second off a leg break”. Helwani added that Poirier should go for a fight against Nate Diaz next to which the “Notorious One” added that Poirier had already bottled it against Diaz.

McGregor also then replied by saying that he believes that the “Diamond” makes the UFC lightweight Hall Of Fame at best. He also said that the Hall Of Fame requires a tighter grip. After a while, McGregor himself posted on Twitter saying “Actually, do you know what? Let him in then, f*ck it. I don’t like to kick a man when he is down. It’s not my style.”

The fight between Diaz and McGregor was one of the most iconic fights in UFC history. The fight showed McGregor, who was on a rampant victory course, being submitted by Diaz. It was unexpected as Diaz stepped in for Rafael Dos Anjos on 11-day notice.

The fight had started in the way it was expected to start, with McGregor dominating the first round with his exceptional striking skills. But things turned around in the second round when McGregor took Diaz, who is a BJJ black belt, to the ground. This shocked fans, who saw Diaz quickly making his way on top of McGregor and submitting via Rear-Naked Choke.

The second fight took place just seven months later, during which McGregor fared better against Diaz and got the majority decision. They were two of the most evenly-matched fights ever and featured some of the most exciting action that the UFC has ever seen.
