Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson returned to WWE Smackdown in Denver, Colorado, on September 15th. The arena was buzzing as they saw their favorite wrestling star making a comeback to the ring. Many fans on social media were left surprised. UFC superstar Conor McGregor shared his words on the incredible moment.

McGregor, on Twitter, reposted a post of The Rock, captioning, “Incredible! @TKOGrp.” McGregor’s comment on Rock’s appearance at Smackdown caught everyone off guard. However, the world will more likely see such collabs after the latest merger between the WWE and the UFC. The recently formed TKO Group has promised a bright future for both these organizations. The Rock’s appearance is just one of the moments that this merger could present.

Conor also praised TKO Group Holdings for starting with such success. The Rock’s appearance in the ring was the first time since 2019. The fans welcomed him with the same love they always treated him. Johnson left his mark on the show by getting involved in a fight with WWE star Austin Theory. The Rock ended his brawl by taking out Theory with his famous finish, “People’s Elbow.”

BMF champion Justin Gaethje has made himself a deserving contender for the title shot after his win against Dustin Poirier. However, Gaethje recently received another interesting callout from a fellow name from the UFC. Jorge Masvidal, after leaving the UFC, spoke about possibly making a comeback in the UFC just for a shot at the BMF title. McGregor jumped at this chance to mock Masvidal.

McGregor called Jorge’s callout the “most un-bmf shout ever” and also pulled some jokes on weight cutting to fight at Gaethje’s weight. Previously, Conor and Masvidal have gone back and forth. Some heated exchanges were shared between them during Masvidal’s hot streak. Gamebred’s victories against the likes of Darren Till and Nate Diaz brought him a lot of attention.

During 2019, White neglected any possibilities of a matchup between McGregor and Masvidal. Currently, Masvidal is retired from MMA and McGregor is planning on his comeback in the octagon.
