There is no doubt that UFC superstar Conor McGregor has a talent for trash-talk and trolling. McGregor is known for his superior trash-talking abilities which he uses to get into his rival or opponent’s head. His second fight with UFC veteran Nate Diaz featured an intense back-and-forth from both fighters. However, both fighters have continued their rivalry over social media.
McGregor recently went back and forth with Diaz on his Twitter account. He recently replied to a post which praised the Irishman’s speed. The post had a video of him landing punches on Diaz and securing a knockdown in their second fight. McGregor captioned the post “Speedy Gonzales” which is a Looney Tunes character known for his speed.
The second fight between McGregor and Diaz was highly anticipated as Diaz stopped McGregor who was on a seven-fight win streak in their first fight. However, McGregor was the better fighter and defeated Diaz in a technical way. Both fighters have agreed to a trilogy bout many times in the past and have also agreed to fight each other on social media.
It is difficult to say who would win a third fight between McGregor and Diaz. McGregor is the more skilled striker, but Diaz is the tougher and more durable fighter. It would likely be a very close and exciting fight.
Nate Diaz believes that he shouldn’t have given Conor McGregor the rematch
The rivalry between McGregor and Diaz was one of the most iconic rivalries in UFC history. However, McGregor recently commented on the UFC Noche main event ending in a draw and related it to his fight against Diaz. He believes that even he should have scored “10-8” in the first and second rounds of their rematch. However, Diaz had some strong words for the Irishman.
Diaz replied to McGregor’s tweet with an expletive rant. He spoke about how he shouldn’t have given McGregor the rematch as he had “killed” him in their first fight. He further explained that he did not get a rematch for their second fight as well as his latest fight. Diaz was referring to the boxing match that he lost via a decision against Jake Paul.
The Stockton gangster ended his rant by saying that he let Paul and McGregor go off with their wins. He also believes that they should live with not giving him a rematch. Fans will look forward to seeing Diaz and McGregor face off and end their rivalry in the Octagon soon.
