Conor McGregor will return to the Octagon this year, and the UFC is looking to book a fight with Michael Chandler later this year. The Irish Superstar has been active lately on Twitter and other ventures such as TUF coaching and filming scenes with Jake Gyllenhaal for the film Roadhouse. McGregor has called out to fight Jose Aldo once again after witnessing his performance against Jeremy Stephens at Gamebred Fighting 4.
McGregor wrote on Twitter, “Me and Aldo should box.” The fight between Stephens and Aldo ended in a majority draw. It was closely contested, with both fighters landing significant shots, but it ended in a draw on the scorecard. This is a rematch between Stephens and Aldo in a different sport. Previously, they fought in the UFC, with Aldo getting a stoppage victory.
Conor McGregor was impressed watching the fight and reiterated his desire to box Aldo in the future. Aldo is rumoured to box Floyd Mayweather next, but the fight has not been finalised. Aldo retired from MMA after losing a decision to Merab Dvalishvili. The former Champion is still among the greatest Featherweight in the history of MMA.

After the fight, McGregor went on to win the Lightweight Championship as well. On the other hand, Aldo won the interim championship against Frankie Edgar at UFC 200.
Fight fans are looking towards UFC announcing the Conor McGregor fight soon. He will likely fight in the second half of the year, considering he needs to sort out issues with USADA before any fight announcement. However, he needs to win the fight to remain legitimate in the eyes of the fight fans.
