Conor McGregor mocks ‘Numbnuts’ Jake Paul for giving away 50% of PFL pay-per-view share
Jake Paul gets mocked by Conor McGregor to improve the pay for the fighters
Following his signature with the PFL PPV Superfight division, Jake paul has been called out by many MMA Athletes for a fight, a coaching offer, and excitement from the fans about this development – but not Conor McGregor. McGregor decided to mock Jake’s decision of giving away the 50% of his pay-per-view share.
Jake Paul has decided to make the switch from boxing to MMA by signing with PFL under the PPV Superfight division, where he will not only fight but also spearhead it. Paul has also decided to give his 50% share of the pay-per-view to the fighters who are being underpaid in the industry.
As the co-founder of the super fight division in the PFL and to fulfill his goal of getting the fighters the pay they deserve, he has announced that the fighters are paid at least 50% of the pay-per-view. He has also promised to use his platform and fight to generate revenue. “Here the fighters can promote and monetize their sponsorships unlike some organizations that don’t allow you to”, said the Prblm Child, taking a sly dig at Dana White and UFC.
The response to this has been immense and has been gaining support towards the cause of the fighters being paid what they deserve. But there was of course some backlash, one of them being from ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor who called him “NumbNuts” for giving away 50% of the pay-per-view share to the fighters. The tweet by Conor has since been deleted by him.
Seems like the businessman in Conor McGregor didn’t accept the fact that Jake Paul was helping his fellow MMA athletes, which if he wasn’t as successful as he is now would’ve loved the idea of getting paid enough to pay for his injuries, training, nutrition, etc. He questions Paul, “what is the joint partnership”. Looks like McGregor regretted tweeting this and has since deleted it.
Jake Paul called out Nate Diaz for a 2-fight deal where he will first have a boxing match and then an MMA fight. Can the fight fans expect a similar deal to be offered to Conor McGregor knowing the history they had previously? The press conferences would give us moments similar to Mayweather vs. Mcgregor for sure.
Is Nate Diaz going to fight Jake Paul next?
Jake Paul has called Nate Diaz for a fight under the PFL Super Fight division. He has offered Nate a 2 fight deal, where he will first have a boxing match and then an MMA match.
After announcing his affiliation with PFL, “The Prblm Child” called out Nate Diaz for his first MMA fight under the organization. “First, we box. And then, six months later, we have MMA in the PFL smart cage and lay it all on the line. If that’s not balls then I don’t know what is,” Paul said in his announcement video. It’s safe to say Jake does have a pair on him by giving his haters nothing to go off on by agreeing to do an MMA fight with the former UFC Interim Lightweight Champion.
The fight fans and neutrals can agree that this is a very bold move by Jake Paul, and no doubt an interesting one at that. We can hope some sparks fly on social media, in the event the fight goes through.
