Famous talk show host Conan O’Brien recently started his travel show ‘Conan Without Borders’ where he traveled to various countries showcasing their culture and heritage. As such, he landed in Dublin Ireland, and claimed to be named ‘Ireland’s next top model.’ Now, Dublin native and UFC superstar Conor McGregor joked about O’Brien’s claims and opened his arms to welcome him.
In his tweet, Conor McGregor mocked Conan O’Brien comparing him to a coddle, an Irish dish made from leftover food. However, it was a friendly banter as ‘The Notorious’ warmly invited O’Brien to his restaurant. Further, he extended his invitation to look after him and his crew during their stay in Dublin. Conor Mcgregor has made multiple appearances on Conan O’Brien’s talk show and they share a unique bond between them. Once, during their appearance, ‘The Notorious’ even demonstrated a Capoeira kick to O’Brien and stunned him. As such, they developed a nice bond ever since.
After a long hiatus, Conor McGregor announced his return to the fighting world on New Year’s Eve. He revealed fighting Michael Chandler in June 2024 for International Fight Week. This would mark his return after almost three years since sustaining a gruesome injury in his last fight. As such, the MMA world excitedly awaited the return of ‘The Notorious.’
Throwback to Conor McGregor demonstrating a Capoeira kick on Conan O’Brien’s talk show
Conor McGregor, back in 2016 made an appearance on the ‘Conan talk show’ on TBS. It was before his fight with rival Nate Diaz. As such, O’Brien referred to McGregor’s nickname as ‘Mystic Mac’ and asked for his prediction on the fight. So, ‘The Notorious’ analyzed the moves of his opponent and ended up stating the ‘Halfmoon’ Capoeira kick to be effective. As such, he demonstrated the technique on the spot with O’Brien acting as his opponent.
Firstly, Conor McGregor explained the kick to Conan O’Brien and stated he became very good at it. As such, when O’Brien wasn’t getting the hang of it, ‘The Notorious’ came forward to demonstrate it. So, they came down the stage and McGregor soon started hopping. As such, he spun and threw the kick just inches from O’Brien’s face flaunting his accuracy. This resulted in a viral clip trending to this day whenever reposted.
However, Conor McGregor wasn’t successful on fight night and ended up losing to Nate Diaz. But, he won the rematch and later. Now, after suffering a brutal leg injury in his last bout with Dustin Poirier, McGregor returns in 2024.
