Conor McGregor made a surprising desire to fight in a no-crowd arena. McGregor created a lot of hype for his UFC 229 main event fight, which broke the UFC record for the most PPV buy rate ever. He wants to test his pre-fight hype limits at the UFC Apex, where he and his opponent are locked in the cage with no noise from the audience and complete silence.

After waiting a long time, the TUF 31 finally goes on air, featuring Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler as opposing coaches. Both fighters will take on the coaching job of their respective teams. Like the earlier 30 seasons, this season will also have a number of episodes to get a glimpse of MMA training. The episode had some aspects, but one caught the fans’ attention more than anything.

During the episode, Chandler and McGregor discussed the UFC Apex. “The Notorious” asked if he had ever fought at the Apex, which Michael Chandler denied. McGregor revealed he hadn’t fought either. However, the PPV record-holder said, “I would have liked to, though. With no sound. I actually loved it.”

UFC Apex was introduced during the COVID-19 Pandemic. In Las Vegas, the UFC decided to keep its event going and started hosting shows at the Apex. Few matches were held there to ensure the maximum safety of fighters who would bare skin touch each other.

After devastatingly exiting the UFC arena in 2021, the Irishman aims to prove himself again for another title run. It has been more than two years since the last time McGregor entered the cage. But before their matchup, the 34-year-old coached young and upcoming fighters to get back into the fight game.

As the first episode aired, fans captured many shots of building heat among the contestants. The biggest surprise fans received was when Islam Makhachev was standing on the cage side.

Islam was also at the cage side when McGregor’s camp and Khabib Numagomedov’s camp had a brawl at UFC 229. Though he went to help Khabib attack Dillon Danis. It was just a small glimpse of Makhachev, and MMA fans look forward to seeing more of Makhachev on the show.
