Conor McGregor is living his life to the fullest. After two years of absence from the octagon, McGregor will return against Michael Chandler later this year. However, it looks like McGregor has yet to start his training camp. The former double division champion was partying with the NBA icon, Phoenix Suns player Kevin Durant, and rapper Rick Ross.
After breaking his left tibia and fibula during his bout with Dustin Poirier, Conor McGregor had to undergo massive surgery. It put him on the sidelines for over 16 months. However, McGregor will aim to fight later this year after fully recovering from the injury. Michael Chandler has already begun his preparation for the bout. Meanwhile, McGregor is doing everything but training.
The UFC superstar was spotted partying with rapper Rick Ross and NBA icon Kevin Durant in a club. McGregor was seen clicking pictures with Rick Ross and having the time of his life. Kevin Durant also appeared to be intoxicated while talking with Rick Ross. Since his recovery, McGregor has partied across the world. Italy and Ibiza are among some of the locations Mcgregor was seen enjoying his holidays.
With Conor McGregor transitioning into a party animal, many fans have skepticism about his return. Although training camp for his fight is yet to begin, fighters have warned Conor against excessive partying. Recently, Michael Bispingwarned McGregor to get back into fighting shape.
Rafael Fiziev thinks too much partying could hamper Conor McGregor chances of winning
UFC’s #6 lightweight Rafael Fiziev believes Conor McGregor parties too much. Before his fight with Justin Gaethje, Fiziev did an interview with Submission Radio to give his predictions for McGregor vs. Chandler fight. The fight will most likely go down in December this year, but Rafael had a word of advice for Conor McGregor.
“Bro, I saw McGregor’s face when he came to the UFC Performance Institute. I think he has had too much of a party,” said Fiziev during his interview. “Too much partying every day. You know his face, he looks like he rest a lot, drinks Proper Twelve a lot. I think Chandler has a big chance to make his future sweet,” added the #6 lightweight.
Conor McGregor is 3-1 in his last four fights and hasn’t scored a win in over three years. His next opponent Michael Chandler is among the top 5 lightweights and boasts impressive wins over Dan Hooker and Tony Ferguson. With Chandler already in training for his fight, Conor McGregor will have much to deal with inside the octagon. Regardless, the fight is highly anticipated and will most likely generate over a million PPV buys.
