“Hope you are proud of my recovery”- Conor McGregor sends a heartfelt message to Arnold Schwarzenegger for his birthday

Conor McGregor is undoubtedly the biggest superstar of the MMA world. However, fight fans have not been able to see him inside the octagon since UFC 264 after the fighter went through a horrific leg injury.
Conor McGregor broke his leg during the trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier into two pieces. Previously, fans had seen a similar incident with Anderson Silva when he suffered from a leg injury while fighting against Chris Weidman at UFC 168. It took the fighter approximately 2 years to return inside the octagon. On the other hand, Conor can be recovering at a much faster rate from his injury.
The fighter started sharing his training videos via Twitter just after 6 months of his injury. Currently, the Notorious is walking around at 190 lbs and is aiming for a return towards the end of 2022 or early 2023.
One of the main reasons behind his fast recovery is that he has the access to the
best doctors out there for such injuries. Surprisingly, Conor’s doctor is none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger’s girlfriend Heather Milligan, who is a physical therapist.
Both Arnold Schwarzenegger and his girlfriend Heather have been very supportive towards Conor McGregor. Previously, Heather also helped McGregor anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear, which he suffered in a 2013 bout against Max Holloway.

Recently, McGregor took to Twitter to wish Arnold Schwarzenegger on his birthday and hoped that Arnold is proud of his fast recovery with Arnold’s girlfriend’s help.
Conor also shared a few pictures of him with Arnold Schwarzenegger where the latter can be seen greeting the Irishman and having a chat with Conor in his early days of recovery.
These are indeed some pleasant pictures for the fight fans to see two legends of MMA and bodybuilding together. Arnold Schwarzenegger turns 75 today the former bodybuilder and politician has worked as an actor as well. He has inspired many to grow and develop themselves. No wonder Conor is inspired by Arnold’s famous dialogue ” I’ll be back”, as he mentioned that in his tweet.
