Conor McGregor teases his comeback

A Conor McGregor comeback seems to be lurking right around the corner. The Notorious One is getting better every day and it is only a matter of time before the Irishman makes his return to the octagon.

It has been a while since we have seen the biggest UFC superstar inside the octagon. The last outing for Conor was not very pleasant as the fighter lost his trilogy to fierce rival Dustin Poirier in a very disturbing fashion. Conor ended up breaking his leg during the fight at UFC 264 which has sidelined the fighter for almost 9 months now.

Since his injury, McGregor has given it all to make sure he is back in the octagon. After undergoing successful surgery and recovery, McGregor is back in the gym hitting pads and practicing his footwork. In a recent Instagram post, the fighter uploaded pictures of him hitting the bag and captioned it, “Right hook tastiness, catch you soon the count down is on.”

McGregor has been hitting the pads for quite a while now and is awaiting full medical clearance before the promotion can book him a fight. UFC President Dana White initially stated that the Irishman is eyeing a return in the Fall of 2022 but it seems like the return might be delayed.

Since his surgery, the Notorious One has been gaining a lot of muscle and does not look anywhere near a lightweight fighter. The fighter started off as a featherweight fighter and then moved to the lightweight division. Conor also has a few fights in the welterweight division but it now seems like the 170-pound might be light for the size of the Irishman.

However, the Notorious One has his eyes set on the welterweight belt. He has called out the welterweight king, Kamaru Usman, and has vowed to knock him out. It is however unlikely that he gets to fight for the title straight away. Conor McGregor also has a trilogy fight that is to be made final against Stockton rival Nate Diaz. It is almost certain that the Irishman will fight in the 170-pound division but who will he fight remains to be unanswered.
