Conor McGregor is one of the most iconic fighters in combat sports history. The Irish superstar recently made his Hollywood debut and people loved the character he played. However, McGregor recently showed appreciation for the acting chops of Hollywood celebrity Michelle Pfeiffer. Here is what happened:
Conor McGregor came across an X post of behind-the-scenes footage of Catwoman from the 1992 film Batman Returns. In this scene, Michelle Pfeiffer whips the head off of four mannequins with her whiplash and skips around in her spandex suit. What is interesting about this is she pulled off the entire scene in one take. The Irish superstar was impressed by this which is why he retweeted the post and wrote:

Michelle Pfeiffer’s portrayal of Selina Kyle, also known as Catwoman, is considered one of the best on-screen adaptations of the character. Pfeiffer won the role after Annette Bening dropped out when she became pregnant with Warren Beatty‘s baby. Following the success of Batman Returns, there were talks of a standalone Catwoman film starring Pfeiffer. However, that project ultimately never happened.
Meanwhile, Conor McGregor’s own film Road House is breaking records on Amazon Prime. People love his character Knox and one of the most popular comments is that McGregor was not acting but simply playing himself in the movie. ‘The Notorious’ played the role of the antagonist opposite Hollywood star Jake Gyllenhaal.
Jake Gyllenhaal’s account of working with Conor McGregor
Jake Gyllenhaal spoke about the overall experience of having UFC star Conor McGregor as his co-star. Especially since the seasoned actor has worked with multiple fighters and athletes over the years who did not have much acting experience.

Gyllenhaal sat down for an interview with MMA Junkie on YouTube, where he spoke about shooting fight scenes with the UFC star. This was McGregor’s debut role and he played the antagonist to Gyllehaal’s character as a former UFC fighter. Talking about shooting fight scenes with McGregor, Gyllenhaal said:
I think Conor had a learning curve in that learning how to fake fight…The first shot we ever shot was that headbutt….he was just staring at me in the eyes and I was like ‘oh s*it’Jake Gyllenhaal via MMA Junkie
Conor McGregor has not fought in the octagon for some time now. His last fight was against Dustin Poirier where he severely injured his leg and was out for a while. There were rumors of McGregor making his comeback against Michael Chandler at UFC 303. UFC CEO Dana White recently teased fans with McGregor’s return on his Instagram story which shows that things are finally in motion for the UFC superstar’s mega comeback.
