Just a week after his Hollywood Debut, Conor McGregor put his name in the mix for a famous sequel. Known for his bizarre voice notes on X, McGregor recorded a glimpse of his reaction to the Cocaine Bear movie. However, he deleted the note later, sensing his comments’ troubling nature.
Although Conor McGregor deleted his tweet, fans had already repurposed it on their accounts. The Irishman captioned the video “Cocaine Bear 2 who’s ready for it?” joking about his next Hollywood stint. Soon, fans jumped on it to troll ‘The Notorious.’ Further, they accused him of substance use owing to what McGregor said on his voice note. Here is what he said:

Conor McGregor, in the recent past, has suffered numerous accusations of substance use. Many believed it was evident from his behavior in interviews during Road House promotions. He acted alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in the remake of Road House. While his film garnered mixed reviews, McGregor’s performances earned a positive response. As such, does the MMA star aim to play a role in Cocaine Bear 2?
While Conor McGregor posted the tweet in the spur of the moment, he wasn’t interested in acting. Earlier, he detailed the dreading workload of Hollywood and declined chances of taking up an acting gig next. The Irishman wanted to resume his fighting career with full force and aimed a fight against Michael Chandler in June.
Does Conor McGregor suffer from substance abuse?
Conor McGregor was not the man he once was. The Irishman was a phenom in his rise in the UFC. He became the first two-division simultaneous champion and pioneered the MMA-boxing crossover ‘money’ events with a bout against Floyd Mayweather. However, the lucrative deal came with detrimental effects for the Irish star. He lost the fire inside and succumbed to the lavish lifestyle. As such, numerous incidents hinted at a substance addiction for McGregor.
While Conor McGregor has always enjoyed alcohol, it went a little too far after he ventured into the Whisky business with his Proper 12 brand. He even drank at the pressers for his comeback fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Since then, accusations spurred of McGregor indulging in illegal drugs as well. Many UFC personnel, including Joe Rogan and Michael Bisping, believed the same. While the allegations date back to 2016, his recent behavior concerned the fans.
After injuring his leg in 2021, Conor McGregor took a long break from competition. As such, the Irishman enjoyed his rich lifestyle while planning a comeback. McGregor often posted videos of him partying and flaunting his materialistic things. Along came some bizarre videos and voice notes that hinted at potential substance abuse. While there exists no definitive proof about the substance abuse of McGregor, fans have found his behavior to suggest otherwise.
